Technology Solutions
EEV maintains technology systems designed to support all stages of program development and management. From course and program registration to issuing certificates and microcredentials, and all the steps in between, EEV’s technology infrastructure utilizes in-demand platforms and systems to help programs save time, lower costs, and maximize financial returns.
What We Offer
Launching new programs can require a significant investment in building and maintaining specialized staff competencies and robust technical systems. A partnership with EEV and our well-established, highly competent teams and technology infrastructure can help craft a right-sized solution.
Registration Support
- TEX
-
EEV manages a Salesforce-based registration and SIS system designed specifically to meet the robust needs of continuing and professional education programs. The system, called TEX, allows for registration and payment processing (self-pay or third-party), automated receipts and student messaging, seamless integration with university systems such as Canvas and DEFINE, records for course offerings and registrant data, and secure data storage in accordance with university regulations.
- Canvas Catalog
-
EEV can facilitate access to Canvas Catalog, a right-sized registration support for free and low-cost courses that can be ideal for programs that need a simple, affordable solution to collect registrant information, process payment, and enroll learners into a Canvas-based course.
- University Extension
-
University Extension (UEX) helps the university extend its reach and offer programs that would not otherwise be possible. UEX provides a means for non-admitted students to access UT Austin courses, provides solutions that allow unique populations to receive college credit, and supports current UT students beyond the traditional long semesters. Credit for UEX courses appears on official UT Austin transcripts.
Learning Management Systems
- LMS Options
-
EEV administers an instance of Canvas that is dedicated to continuing and professional educational programs, allowing learners who are not otherwise admitted to the University access to course materials. Most of the tools and features that are available on the main campus Canvas instance either are available or can be installed (usage fees may apply in order to extend certain tools to non-UT users). Canvas course hosting typically is paired with an EEV-based registration solution for enrollment management purposes.
EEV also provides support for UT Austin courses that are listed on edX.org.
