University Extension

University Extension (UEX) offers UT Austin transcripted credit for semester-based, short-form, and self-paced courses that exist in the university catalog; are approved by departments and colleges; and are taught by approved faculty. Through collaborative efforts with academic and administrative units, we help the university extend its reach to non-matriculated students and offer programs that would not other be possible.

Academic Partnerships

In addition to providing a variety of online and in-person courses, UEX serves the university community by building mutually beneficial partnerships with departments and academic units on campus. This often can be a productive and cost-effective way to incubate new programs or manage unique registration scenarios. Financial arrangements can be made on a fee-for-service or revenue share basis.
